First off, this game is the Halo that never was before and all that has come before all at once. New weapons like the Needler rifle and returning weapons like the scoped pistol will make the mayham a little more intense.
Second, the game has been visually and mechanically enhanced more then any other Halo title. With new engine upgrades the game can support 40 enemies on screen at once instead of ODST's 20. And Vehicles are included in that count.
Now the battle field could have 10 vehicles and 30 enemies trying to pound you into the terrestrial turf.
REACH is a planet that has become a mining and military outpost for human kind and the covenent has stumbled upon it and immediately invaded. As the Noble 6 squad you will be tasked with suicide missions to try and prevent the covenent from taking control and as the game goes on destroying the entire planet.
In all this news there is one thing that has me really stoked. In Halos prior you may come upon a civilian vehicle that you wanted to take for a spin and in some cases would have saved your butt. But you could never drive them. With REACH this is all old hat. Now civilian rides are driveable.
This will likely also add to strategy and gameplay becouse if you finally put the nail in the warthog and finish it off you may have to switch to a civ truck or cab to get to the next checkpoint.
The game has five great characters that are featured in the main story and gameplay and of coarse you will play the 6th man. You will play the new member to the team for Noble 6. The good news is that not every memeber is equal. Each brings something unique to the play and Spartan II and Spartan III soldiers will fight side by side.
The name of the game, according to Bungie, is customization. You will have much more control of character appearance and other touches than in any other Halo title before. What we want to see is a pink headed, white chested, purple legged, and yellow armed flamingo Spartan. We just want to see how much he gets tea bagged by every player that he is up against. Even AI will likely get a little T-Bagging on with armor possibilities like these.
Regardless this REACH is really looking like a Leap. We can't wait to see what else will be being added and see what other new environments Halo: REACH promises for gamers. We will be watching.
