Wolfenstein Demo Review

This is not like the last two Wolfenstein games. It is much more like the later levels of the first PC Wolfenstein that created this great franchise. The ultimate fun is that you can kill nazi's in so many visually great ways. Disintegrating them down to their skulls or skeleton is a blast and the basic guns create a greate amount of splatter and havoc.

This game is ultimately focused on the damage you do with outlandish weaponry. If you attack the hell out of the nazis they will counter attack and let you mow them all down with plasma cutters and all kinds of wild guns. This game is as all Wolfenstein games tend to be, very dark. But this time AI character or NPC's are much more interesting than what past versions have had. Also this time around you pack special abilities that can be upgraded throughout the game. So this time the gameplay has some new tweaks. These are not bad changes because as the demo correctly displays the game is alot of fun.

The demo score is a 3.89 out of 5. The game demo really only looses out because the cut-scenes are so much more pretty and awesome looking than the actual gameplay.

The full game has been out for a while now so you can get this one a little cheaper. For a good maybe slightly cheaper shooter this one is ideal........PS> Bearcat69 is right Sheet Pizzas are one of the best food related inventions but Hotshell is even more correct in saying that Chinese food offers more for your buck and tastes sinfully delicious. i.e ....I promise not all gamers are fat, socially shut in, nerds. But even if most are........that's not that bad a thing after all>.....Is IT?

Anyway, the point is that there are games that are better at having a quality game experience and still getting all the gamer score for your money that can be gotten in reasonable doses of pain and throwing of controllers. (that's right we mean you Bearcat 69......you single handledly keep the sale of replacement controllers going just because well.....your an achievement whore. With some anger issues.) So have fun with the site and enjoy the hell out your pursuit of that next achievement. If your having a hard time getting the job done. Battlefield Bad Company 2 WHAT?

The game is massive and magnificent. Fans of the last game rejoice and shooter fans applaud, for the most part. The game is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with as contoller sales soar and angry gamers break more than windows. The game has huge potential just like the first one. But new modes like onslaught really offer nothing much to be excited about. FPS of the year? Maybe not. But COD is not either.
This game is more impressive than the first and so it delivers in that regard but there is much to be left desiring. Team killers beware. The game won't punish your stupidity but Acheivement whores gladly will. A lot more polish to the visuals gives the feeling of fine tuning of the Frostbite Engine that everyone was so excited for but there seems to be a need for three or four new vehicles and at least ten new guns.
Some of the guns that are most popular are just unbalanced. Shotguns sniper rifle anyone. Anyway, there is alot to love about this game but sometimes you have to take a week break from the game just to not break the disk or use it as a cup holder.
Up is the active word to describe this game's near future.
Vehicles look like they will be more accesible and user friendly. And the actual fighting of the battles look like they are to be exquisite. This time around DICE promises many changes to make squad combat more enjoyable and rewarding for XBOX Live whores out there.
This is going to be great and so far the game gets a score of 4.78 out of 5. Could be a good one, or even the best.

A Helluva Deal for a Left 4 Dead copycat in 3rd person.

The game is Zombie Apocalypse by Konami and its found of coarse on xbox live Arcade. For 800 points you can enjoy this Left 4 dead meats Guantlet Legends hybrid. 12 achievements are awainting the gamer whores out there and if your just want a good fun challange its great for that too. The game packs about a dozen weapons upgrades which puts Left 4 Dead to shame. Everyone begins with an assault rifle controlled by the right thumbstick and a chain saw that is run by the right and left triggers. This game is a blast but beware the 7 days in hell mode is just that and it takes a long time to try and play all 7 days all the way to the end. The regular mode has 55 days which feature a few solid boss matches and cruel tricks to keep the controllers flying, Bearcat69 beware...walls create a friction point that not only stops the controller but ends its flight with a sudden stop. And any gamer knows its not the fall that kills you. Shit hits the fan literally with helacopter blades and other fallen obstacles ripping into swarming hordes of zombies. The game is a steal at the price and has moderate replay value in that there is no story at all and the basic scenario replaces the idea of extensice theme or plot points. You know one thing for sure. There is four survivors like the set up in L4D but the twist is that well, there is no twist. Get in there and rip apart some zombie/ infected scum. Warning......use of the left trigger assasination style leaves you fully vulnerable for other in coming zombies. use with great caution. Unless your a glory hogging show off as well as a whore. I mean gamer.

Batman Arkham Asylum Demo Review

The demo for Batman: Arkham Asylum is great. Definately the best Batman video game ever created. Of coarse until now that hasn't been much of a compliment. The older, especially PS2 Batman titles were less than satisfactory. This time around the guts and gadgets are galor. There is a clearly dark reference to the form that the movie the Dark Knight took. This is not a movie tie in game and is not part of the same concepts. The demo lets you get into the game and story. This is good because most demos are just taste teasers. Not even appetizers. Demos tend to be like the demo for WET, weak, poorly constructed, and exploitative of gamers time and money. The Batman of this demo though is worth the time it takes to download and it is totally worth the effort. Its a blast. Score is 4.35 out of 5. The final game has been out for a little bit and is selling well as it should. So if you can pick a copy up then likely it is worth it. If you grew up loving Batman like so many gamers did, well, is this ever your cup of tea. So to make it short and sweet this demo is one of the better ones on xbox live. Take advantage of it being free and not sucking.

The Darkness game demo

This game is creepy yes. But pretentious as any game like it ever as well. It is so trying to be dark and gloomy and gorey that it loses itself on the way. It features some crazy gameplay elements but they are not enough.
I played this demo and was left wanting.....more......of something else. Something more complete. The voice work in this game is stereotypical and cheesy. It is also not very good.
The believability becomes an issue. This is a problem because we are talking video games here not knitting. The problem is that all these time flashbacks occur but are so oddly scattered that you don't have a firm handle on the present or the story itself. The game's tale is all over the place. There are dozens of visual problems but the game came out in 2007 and was made by Top Cow and published by 2K who is more well known for sports titles at this point in their companies history.
Well ultimately this demo is not great but gets a 2.14 out of 5. The only redeeming quality it has is that there are none. It is supposed to be crazy after all they chose the title the darkness didn't they. Good Luck with this one. Some gamers will definately enjoy this one. I am just not one of them.

Dirt 2 demo review

The first major point is that there is no more multiplayer support. The good news is that the single player modes are solid fun. The rally mode is a riot and you will surely enjoy launching the car off the track into light poles and rocks. The second mode is the Baja truck race and is also a good bit of fun. The water effects are decent on the vehicles and the group racing with the trucks is extreme in its possibilities for destructive racing online. The replayability of the demo is good and it rewards you with XP points to get you new cars to try. You can even race in realistic or visual only damage and control the difficulty of the AI opponents.This is a great racing demo and the mud effects are a blast. The cars look dirty as a mud football game in the middle of a rain storm. We recommend this demo even if you don't love racing games. The final product likely will shape up nicely with the demo being this good. This demo gets a 4.25 out of 5. (PS> The great mandingo says that the greatest lesson of an Achievment whore is to make your mistakes offline and score big online. Also HotShell says why do you look like a leprochaun?)

Call of Duty World at War Demo review

This is a very fun demo. First of all the single player is great. Japs are leaping out of the brush trying to stab you in the eye. There is a great variety of weapons to use and the gameplay is fast paced and very addictive.
Secondly there is oniline competitive scoring coop. This is absolutely great. Your buddy gets mowed down so you revive him. Everyone is pinned by enemy fire so you rush the enemy position with a rocket and get gunned down after taking out a machine gun nest. Guts, Glory, Gamers, and well acheivement whores. You will find all of these in this game. People are still actively playing the multiplayer demo so jump on this if you don't already have it. Yes, Bearcat69 and Hotshell, I am giving this game a solid review, with a score of 4.54 out of 5. This is proof positive that even without the zombie map packs, this game is a blast.

Mini Ninja Demo review

This game was great and fun to explore. The world is very unique and its feel is like a blend of several styles. To begin with the game has decent voive talent and is smoothly animated. Not a bunch of herky jerky motions and timing problems like in so many hybrid platformer games. The premise is simple enough and the game is family friendly. The main character is a ninja named Hiro and can change on the fly into two other fighters depending on what you need in any given battle or puzzle. The bosses are great and the level design superb. The game gets a high mark with a score of 4.45 out of 5. Download this one and go fishing while floating around on a big hat that is a make shift paddle boat. I recommend exploration in this one though whores because there is nothing to loose and much to gain. There are upgrades and rpg style leveling up. This is a very full and rich gaming experience even though it is a G rated approach. Its fun and has a wealth of character bursting out all over.

MX vs ATV Reflex demo Reviewed

If you love slinging mud and doing insane tricks on two or four wheels, you'll hate this game. The demo is riddled with negatives and bad gameplay. You need to master a rediculous combo of both thumbsticks just to not fly off the bike. The freestyle modes are terrible and the level isn't even big enough to make good jumps and doing tricks is very frustrating and luck is more why you pull of a trick than skill. The tracks in all modes look terrible and the mud effects do not make any sense and look like garbage. Your wheels don't even apear to be making contact with the track and mud flys in random directions without reason. The riders are ok in appearance but when you wreck the ragdoll effects to your body look like playstation 1 graphics. The gameplay is horrific and you are always navigating the task of trying to stay upright. While racing you are aggrivated by trying to slide through the turns instead of being bounces like a bullrider through the turns. The track designs are just lame. No creativity and no real thought has been put into these stages and portions of the track appear to be cut and pasted from previous parts. The score on this demo is a frightening 0.47 ot of 10. Yes 10. Our first need to bring the 1-10 scale just to demonstrate how bad this demo really is. Seriously, I would not wish this awful rubbish on my enemies let alone on fellow whores like yourselves. Don't waste your time or money on this junk. Instead pick up Fuel, Pure, or Dirt 1 and 2.

Need for Speed Shift Demo Review

This is a nearly 1 gig file so it will take several minutes as always to download. So it likely won't be worth your trouble. The game physics are quirky and car responsiveness odd. The new feature that should have been there to set the game apart from the rest of the crowd just distracts and disturbs. When you hit the wall or another car hard, or head too fast into a tight corner the screen blurs and causes ou further dismay. The feature is a broken mechanic that really can be fixed easily by shortening the time the blur effects the drivers vision. The in car detail is nice and as promised is a good aspect of the overall game. If your antcy and want a good racing game for a $60 cost, wait for Forza 3. It is much more realistic. Since Shift is supposed to be competing with games like Forza and GRID, your better off with the ones that established the solid trends that Shift only hopes to imitate. This demo is nothing compared to the GRID demo where you can race other gamers in live matches in three race class modes, Drift, European, and Muscle. GRID's demo was very well designed in order to best feature the game's strengths. Shifts demo just focuses on the lack of realism and blinding g force blur mess. If you want more arcade style racing goodness, wait for Dirt 2. But what else is there to say but this demo gets a 2.15 out of 5. (PS> The .15 is for the very pretty car details only, not for the quality of the game.)

NHL 2010 demo review

NHL 2010 is a good game. 2008 was a great game. The trouble is that with this demo you get a small sample of the game. It looks visually very nice. However there seems to be some graphical blend and edge issues. Not bad though because the skating looks decent. It doesn't look so much like the players skates are hovering over the ice not actually making any contact. The game is structurally Hockey and works like it should. The mini games that you start out playing are ok but beyond a quick random sampling they are useless to sell the game. The overall on this one is that it is worth playing and downloading for hockey fans trying to stay on top of each new season. But for the not so hardcore the battle for the cup mode is only just so fun. They likely enjoyed the fighting mini game. The fact is that you only get to play period three of the game 7 of the Cup between the Penguins and the Red Wings. You can play either but only one period and the Pens already held a big lead by that point so choosing the Pens is a definate advantage. Be a pro mode was interesting enough where you begin with a NHL prospects game. It places your player that you created when the demo loads on either the North American or World team for the prospect game. The fun part is that this time gamers get to play only your created player and if you get tossed in the sin bin you are stuck watching the action behind the glass. And you still only get to play one period of hockey. This is a lot of fun though because you get to fight as your self play as yourself yes, set up assists and take shots as your created self. Now I named my player Harry Viking. He was boss. He was a cross between a angry rhino and a stoned gorilla. In short he got in a lot of fights and lost out on game time. This mode ends after you win the game or lose it by taking your performence record and sending you to the NHL draft. Once you picked the demo is done. The crowd looks better than ever and more life like. The days of those flat looking same old crowds are long gone.The demo gets a solid score of 4.33 out of 5. Hockey fans rejoice, hockey still exists as a professional sport. Enjoy this it is worth the download if you don't have a full length hockey game to play.

Sega Revo Rally Racing Demo Review....

This game came out a long time ago. 10/07/07 actually. And so I will be brief. If you can pick up this game for under ten bucks it is a steal. The graphics are nice and there really is no damagin the cars. But you can make them dirty as hell. The demo allows you to choose either a Subaru or a Lancer EVO. There are two tracks, Canyon, and Tropical. Both are fun and offer a different racing feel. There are several other cars but you can't choose between them on the demo.
Racing physics are definately a few years behind but all and all the game recognizes divots and tread marks in the dirt and mud so that is a solid start. The game is not super complicated but you can add difficulty by racing a manual transmission and uping the difficulty. But for the demo at least. It is fun. I wouldn't bother downloading the demo because there really is no big risk on the game itself. The game has been out a long time and so it really is cheap and so it is worth the price of admission.

Skate 2 demo review

This is nothing but cheap imitation Tony Hawk pro skater without the solid controls of that good franchise. This whole game looks good but falls somewhere short of being a complete pile of non-sense. The game does feature a lot of customization but this is a staple of the skate boarding game world. The controls alone are enough to drive a learning pupil of Skate 2 insane. Like Joker in Arkham Asylum mad in the head missing several apples from the tree. The problem is that speeding up is X while jumping up and down is also X and A. But to actually ollie you have to fling your right thumbstick back and then forward to get into the air. This is a terrible control scheme. To land and grind is suppossedly automatic yet most of the time you end up with a stall or nose stop or tap or something not at all like a bar grind etc.
The camera is in way to close chasing your skater. This means that you get a great view of you customized skater when slamming into ever last obstacle and crashing over every last gap or ledge. There is also alot of copy catting with the characters you meet in the demo and the quick dialogue quest style that this game follows. The trouble is that you never get a real taste for anything in the demo. The level is basically just to get you to hurry up and arrive at the skate park. So most of the time your fast skating all the way to the end where you have a quick timed skate that leaves you to fend for yourself against the torturing control scheme. This game is a wannabe so it should have copied the Tony Hawk controls a lot more. That way someone might enjoy this game. If you have never played one of the many fantastic Tony Hawk games over the last several years and consoles, then and only then would we say, buy this instead. See then you just wouldn't know what your missing. And you would almost certainly become the trained finger monkey that you would need to be to play this game really well. No clue whether there is customized control schemes. If the full fame has this feature then the game has hope. Although I am not certain of that either.
But seriously this game gets a score of 2.75 out of 5. PS> if you insist on taking on a champion game series like the Tony Hawk series, take it more seriously, and don't be gimmicky. Please!

Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes. Demo Review.

The Jedi missions are a lot of fun and are a bit like the controls of the game Zombie Apocalypse only better. The graphics are a little low quality for a 360 game and the level is not super long for the demo. But you do get to play a Jedi Mission as well. This feature is weak and controls suffer from being way to wonky and impercise. The camera angles that you use to play are also more of an obstacle than an asset. Beware die hard Star Wars fans. This is not the best effort kind of game. And its based on the animated series Clone Wars not the movie series itself.
In short the clone missions are a lot of fun but the Jedi missions seem lacking are not polished work at all. It is hard to believe that this came from Lucas Arts.
Score is a 2.89 out of 5. It might be worth the download if your a really big fan.

Test Drive Unlimited Demo Review

Test Drive Unlimited is a mediocre game and demo. Driving physics are terrible and the only partial way that is fixed is by having a decent selection of cars and bikes. The game is not bad visually but is also not in any way good. The character customizer is lacking and is only really a glorified male or female choice. The demo itself is a waste of time to download and the game is a fractured idea. The open world limited by locations to get missions accomplished. Hmmmm? Sounds like about fifty other racing titles that are all better than this one. To arcade like and not at all realistic control. The road side causing to much interruption in steering and stability and the motorcycle racing is the worst I have ever played. Excite bike beats this game to the ground and calls it bitch. Whores and gamers, this is worth about six dollars. If you have to pay more for it you are being played. Score is 1.45 out of 5. Don't Bother. There are at least twenty other games that are better purchases.

Vancouver Winter Olympics demo review

Super G is really super. Long Ski Jump is convoluted and poorly executed. But the game is visually good and has some fun potential. Super G is very fast and you really need to make sure you line up your gates so you don't miss or get penalized. If you try to overcompensate you lose time which is bad.
The only real complaint I have with the demo is that there are too few activities or events to attempt to get a feel for the final game.
But the demo gets a score of 4.43 out of 5 anyway. So not a bad game at all. If you like the winter olympics this game is for you. If your looking for some side fun this winter it may well serve you well for that too.
Check out the game demo it is pretty cool.

Wet Demo Review

This game demo is so bad that it tarnishes the image of a good game studio. Bethesda you should be ashamed of making such garbage. This game is a bullettime glichfest. You know that the potential is there for a good 3rd person and highly mobile shooter and what you give us is a demo of rubish and terrible cut scenes. This is some really unbelievable garbage that makes the Pirates of the Caribbean games look marvelous. The demo is hampered by atrocious auto aim and the split gun sequence is vomit inducing. The whole of this pile of spew is chunks of fleshy stench that makes any gamer or whore reel. The game better be signifigantly better than this training showcase that has been presented. The score for this one is a 0.29. The .29 is for making the attempt. The O is for the quality of this demo. Any questions should be directed toward the comments area below and please gamers and whores. Don't bother with the time it takes to download this and if your smart you'll boycot the purchase of the game because it should serve as a lesson to Bethesda who makes great games, to never try and use that against gamers by passing off a pile of crap like this. We are not all stupid and brain washed. We won't flock to your games because your name is presented clearly on the box. Making games like this is whtat hurt Capcom, Midway, and Konami. Let's try to set a good example next time. And PS.> Try to make a hero that doesn't look like the actress who plays Jean Grey/phoenix. Please she was only a marginally good fit and if not for Hugh Jackman and Sir Picard, I mean, Patrick Stewart.
